Over 5,000 trees and shrubs were planted in the Vitebsk region last Saturday as part of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection's environmental campaign "Let's Improve Our Small Homeland!".
As reported by Lyudmila Kapranova, Head of the Department of the Regional Committee for Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, about a thousand people planted trees in populated areas, forest park zones, roadside strips, and near water bodies. The campaign will run every Saturday until November 2.
