More than 50% of the innovative products of industrial enterprises in the Vitebsk region are exported
According to Oleg Matskevich, the share of innovative products in the total volume of shipped products of industrial enterprises of the Vitebsk region is about 30%. This is one of the highest rates in Belarus. At the same time, innovative products of the region's enterprises are in demand abroad: 54% of their total volume is exported.
The First Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee attributed the high educational level of employees involved in innovation, significant volumes of exported innovative products, as well as the availability of a sufficient number of universities and organizations engaged in scientific research to the strengths of the innovative potential of the Vitebsk region.
"At the same time, one of the most important tasks remains to expand the interaction between scientists and industry in order to identify promising projects aimed at mastering the technologies of the sixth technological order. Innovation equally requires entrepreneurial activity," he emphasized. Oleg Matskevich expressed confidence that the current forum will become a good platform for presenting ideas for most participants, and will attract the attention of potential partners to joint activities.
