More than 50 foreign economic activity participants will gather at the seminar "Belarus – a Transit Country" in Vitebsk

Representatives of more than 50 business entities of the Vitebsk region will gather on September 30 in the regional center for the seminar "Belarus - a transit country" for participants in foreign economic activity, the Vitebsk customs informed a BELTA correspondent. The main topic of the event will be the measures taken by the customs service to increase the transit attractiveness of Belarus and reduce the time for customs clearance of goods. Specialists from enterprises and organizations specializing in cargo transportation will get acquainted with the conditions and advantages of working under the procedures of preliminary electronic notification of customs authorities about goods transported across the border, as well as electronic declaration. Priority areas in the work of the customs are the improvement and simplification of customs clearance and control procedures, the implementation of measures aimed at reducing border crossing times, creating favorable conditions for participants in foreign economic activity, and assisting domestic producers in carrying out export operations. At the seminar, customs officers will talk about measures to create favorable conditions for participants in foreign economic activity and will review common mistakes made during customs clearance. Specialists from RUE "Beltamozhservice" will make a presentation on "Suretyship as a way to ensure the payment of customs duties."
