More than 500 creative works about Belarusians at the Sochi Olympics were created by children from the Vitebsk region
Until May 22, the Vitebsk Art Museum will host an exhibition of participants of the regional competition "Sochi. The Olympic History of Belarusians".
The competition, aimed at developing the creative potential of the younger generation and popularizing the Olympic movement, was organized by the NOC Representative Office in the Vitebsk Region with the support of the education, sports and tourism departments of the regional executive committee.
As noted by the acting director of the Representative Office, Olga Obukhova, more than 500 works were submitted from 16 regions of the Dvina region. These include poems, essays, works of fine and decorative arts, presentation discs, and even musical compositions by the children.
The most worthy young propagandists of the Olympic movement received prizes from the Representative Office. However, the winners and losers in this creative competition can only be nominal. The ideas of Olympism, a healthy lifestyle, and fair sports competition carry only a creative beginning, the task of which is not so much to train athletes, but, above all, noble people, true patriots of their Motherland.
P. S. Everyone is welcome to visit the exhibition and participate in the voting to determine the lucky one who will receive the audience award.
