More than 650 billion will be allocated to the Investment Program of the Vitebsk region in 2013
A meeting of the presidium of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies was dedicated to analyzing the implementation of the Investment Program in 2012 and the tasks for 2013. A total of 358.2 billion rubles were allocated for the implementation of the program measures in the current year. The main share of investments was directed to the housing and communal services sector and housing construction – about 49 percent, with healthcare institutions ranking second. Many socially significant facilities were erected, including residential buildings for orphans in Braslav and Ushachi districts, the reconstruction of the "Slavyansky" hotel complex, Peter I's House in Polotsk. By the end of the year, it is planned to commission a stadium in Glubokoye and a building with renovated sports facilities on Zhurzhevskaya Street in Vitebsk.
– The significance of the Investment Program is great; thanks to it, we are building and reconstructing. It was in accordance with the program that funds were allocated for the completion of such long-awaited facilities as the hospital in Sharkovshchina, the bus station in Braslav, the children's park in Orsha, and many others. By the way, such sums have never been allocated for the repair and construction of healthcare institutions as this year, – noted the Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies, Alexander Atyasov.
As reported by Vladimir Belous, Chairman of the Committee for Architecture and Construction of the Regional Executive Committee, 652.6 billion rubles are planned to be allocated for the implementation of the Investment Program measures in 2013. A separate program has been developed for cities and districts for investing in social facilities, with additional funds provided for these purposes. Housing construction, engineering and transport infrastructure in new microdistricts, the comprehensive development program for Polotsk, healthcare, education, physical culture and sports institutions will remain in focus. The main facilities to receive investment are the dormitory building of Luzhesnyanskaya Gymnasium, two residential buildings for orphans in Ulla, Beshenkovichsky District, and Tolochin, a kindergarten and a palace of game sports in Polotsk, the Ice Palace in Orsha, the central district hospital in Miory, the arena of the Vitebsk School of the Olympic Reserve, a polyclinic in the Yug-7 microdistrict, the therapeutic building of the regional children's hospital, building No. 1 of the regional infectious diseases hospital, building No. 2 of the regional oncology dispensary in Vitebsk, a basic school in Litosovo, Senno District, a water and health center in Dokshitsy, and a cultural and health complex in Ushachi.
