One of Vitebsk companies must pay over 8 billion rubles in taxes based on the results of an audit
The Department of Financial Investigations of the State Control Committee of the Republic of Belarus for the Vitebsk region has uncovered instances of tax evasion by the director of the Vitebsk limited liability company "N". Despite the fact that the head of the company failed to provide documents on the financial and economic activities of the enterprise, financial police officers established that from May to November 2014, its revenue amounted to more than 34 billion rubles. For instance, the company supplied products (pork fat) worth 13.1 billion rubles to just one of its partners.
A review of the documents based on which the company shipped goods to its partner enterprise revealed that they contained unreliable information about the producers of the pork fat. Furthermore, it was established that these documents were not issued by authorized bodies, and some of them, as confirmed by expert examination, are forged. Incidentally, the director was unable to name the sellers of the pork fat.
Without documents confirming the acquisition of goods, the company "N" unjustifiably claimed VAT deductions totaling 1.3 billion rubles in 2014, paying this tax only in the amount of 124 million rubles. Thus, over eight months of 2014, the director intentionally evaded VAT payments amounting to 1.2 billion rubles by submitting false information in tax declarations.
Based on the results of the inspection, the company has been additionally charged with taxes totaling 8.2 billion rubles, including VAT in the amount of 4.9 billion rubles. Currently, the financial investigation authorities have secured the payment of 2.6 billion rubles to the budget, and investigative actions are being carried out against the officials of the limited liability company "N".
