More than 950 children from the regions took part in the regional Christmas tree event
Children and adults took numerous memorable photos and videos at the event. Some of the young guests attended such a Christmas tree for the first time, while for others it is a familiar event. Daria Dzheranova, a student of the Vitebsk Cadet School, is not attending the regional charity Christmas tree for the first time: her academic success has earned her invitations to the "Vitebsk" Concert Hall for several years. And now, wearing a cadet uniform, the girl is not giving up her positions. "At first, it was not so much difficult to study, but to prove that as a representative of the weaker sex, I am not weak at all. I believe that one should always strive for more, study well, and be in the thick of things in one's school life," shared Daria, who studies almost exclusively in nines and tens and prefers Russian language and literature. The young cadet is attracted to both prose and poetry. She wished her peers success in their studies, health, happiness, and that all their plans would come true with a plus sign.
Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin
The regional leadership congratulated the children on the upcoming holidays. "This year, more than 20 schools have been modernized and re-equipped for you to have a place to study and confidently step into the future. Buses, computer equipment, various equipment, and furniture were purchased for educational institutions. All this was created to provide more comfortable learning conditions and to enable you to move forward with confidence. Dear children, the success of our country is built upon the successes you have achieved in the past year. Each of you has already contributed to the region's achievements. Schoolchildren from the Vitebsk region have won 15 medals at international Olympiads, including gold medals. Eight children were included in the list of the Special Fund of the President for the Support of Talented Youth. All this became possible thanks to your perseverance, diligence, and the efforts of your teachers. Your talents are our pride," said Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin.
Before the event, he told reporters that he was nervous about appearing on stage in his new capacity as head of the region, but nevertheless wished both young and old residents of the Vitebsk region good health and the fulfillment of their cherished wishes for the coming year. -0-
