More than 950,000 rubles were earned by workers of the Vitebsk region during the republican subbotnik
More than 300,000 people took part in this traditional event, which is gaining momentum every year. On this day, many worked at their workplaces, improving settlements and territories, military graves and historical and cultural sites, and participated in planting greenery.
Half of the collected amount will be sent to the Ministry of Health to strengthen the material and technical base of medical institutions, including partial financing of the purchase of vaccines against the infection caused by the coronavirus COVID-19, as well as equipment for providing planned and emergency medical care to the population. Another 50% of the funds will remain at the disposal of the regional executive committees and the Minsk City Executive Committee and will be directed towards the repair, reconstruction, restoration, and preservation of historical and cultural values, memorial complexes, and sites of military glory from the Great Patriotic War.
