Vitebsk enterprise will have to pay more than Br100 million in additional taxes for concealing revenue

May 27, Vitebsk / Sergei Kochetov - BELTA /. One of Vitebsk's private enterprises will have to pay more than Br100 million in taxes and fees to the budget for concealing revenue from taxation for the performance of construction work at facilities in the regional center, the Vitebsk Oblast Tax Inspectorate informed a BELTA correspondent. During the inspection of the business entity, tax officials established facts of using "sham subcontracting" agreements. Having received an order for the performance of repair and construction work from a number of state organizations, the private enterprise, in turn, concluded agreements for the performance of work with four subcontracting organizations from Minsk. At the same time, the work at the facilities was directly carried out by the Vitebsk enterprise itself, and the subcontracting agreements were declared fictitious, which was confirmed by control measures of the tax authorities. This violation led to the enterprise understating its taxable revenue from the sale of work by more than Br200 million. In total, for January-April of the current year, the region's tax authorities have identified 3 business entities that used "sham subcontracting" agreements in the construction sector to conceal revenue from taxation. -0-
