More than half of the international agreements of PSU named after P. Masherov are concluded with Russian universities

Vitebsk State University named after P. Masherov has signed more than 100 international cooperation agreements with partner universities, more than 50 of which are with Russian universities.

On April 2, 2018, an event dedicated to the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia will be held in the main building of VSU. Everyone will be able to leave a message for students, teachers, and staff of Russian universities, congratulate them on an important date in the history of the Union State, and express their opinion on the future development of a common socio-cultural and spiritual space.

– The Faculty of Philology successfully cooperates with Russian colleagues. At a recent scientific and practical conference on onomastics, there was a large representation of philologists from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Smolensk, Pskov, and Novgorod. The active interaction and high level of mutual relations can also be judged by the results of the forum on issues of chemical education in secondary and higher schools, which was supervised by Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Evgeny Arshansky – about 70 participants from abroad. Specialists from regions of the Russian Federation quite distant from us – Ufa, Krasnodar, Chelyabinsk – came to the conference, – said First Vice-Rector of VSU Valentina Bogatyreva.

In addition to the scientific sphere, the cooperation of Vitebsk University with Russia also includes the exchange of students and teachers under academic mobility programs, internships, participation in joint seminars, cultural and social projects. For example, VSU has established close contacts with Yaroslav the Wise Novgorod State University. Since 2009, the partners have implemented two projects: on educational management and diversity pedagogy. The established ties continue to develop, and the universities organize regular visits of delegations, within which scientific, educational, sports, and cultural events are held.
