A large investment tourism project is being implemented in the Lepel district

A protected corner of Belarusian land will see an increase in places where one can not only have a wonderful rest but also improve their health: a large investment project is being implemented at the "Lode" health resort. The reconstruction of this health and tourist complex is planned until 2015 and includes the construction of up to 20 new cottages for vacationers, an outdoor sports complex with excellent conditions for football, volleyball, tennis, and basketball, a gymnastics area, handicraft workshops for folk crafts, as well as the reconstruction of utility networks, a dining hall, connection to natural gas, expansion of animal enclosures, renovation of water sports equipment, and much more. But the most important aspect of this investment project is the construction of a building for providing health and medical services. In just a couple of years, the health resort will become a serious competitor to other sanatorium institutions in the region. Furthermore, a modern conference hall with administrative premises will appear on the Ksendzovo peninsula of Lake Lepel this year: "Lode" is an ideal place not only for recreation but also for serious business meetings, seminars, conferences, negotiations, and training... The total investment volume will be 2.5 billion rubles, and 25 new jobs will be created. Incidentally, in the near future (planned for 2014), another dream of Vladimir Gorbachev, director of the "Lode" medical center and a great patriot of the protected Lepel land, will come true: in the city center, on a previously unused wasteland, a site for vintage cars and military equipment will be established. This open-air museum will not only beautify Lepel but also make it even more attractive to tourists and visitors of the district center.
