May 17, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. A grand concert at the Vitebsk Summer Amphitheater will conclude the republican motor rally "Say NO to AIDS!" today, the head of the motor rally, Dmitry Simago, informed at a press conference, BELTA correspondent reports. Belarusian pop stars - the duo "Alexandra and Konstantin", artists Alexander Patlis and Alexey Shedko - will say their "No!" to AIDS from the main stage of the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk". Everyone present will be able to support them. To this end, volunteers will be working in the auditorium during the artists' performance, distributing informational and educational materials and leaflets. On them, everyone will be able to write their promise in the fight against AIDS. The republican motor rally "Say NO to AIDS!" is being held in Belarus for the first time (last year, Russian stars traveled across the country: the "AIDS STOP" campaign was initiated by the Russian Federation and was also timed to coincide with the Day of Remembrance of those who died from AIDS). The event is attended by the Ministry of Health, the UN Representation in Belarus, regional executive committees, the republican and regional centers for hygiene, epidemiology and public health, the public association "Belarusian Association of People Living with HIV", as well as a star team, which includes well-known Belarusian artists, athletes, musicians, and TV presenters. The main goal of the campaign is to attract the attention of as many people as possible to the problem of HIV/AIDS, to form a positive attitude towards a healthy lifestyle and a careful attitude towards one's health among young people. Since May 13, participants of the campaign have visited Minsk, Grodno, Gomel, and Mogilev. On May 17, the International Day of Remembrance of those who died from AIDS, the motor rally concludes with a visit to Vitebsk. As the participating artists noted, "if at least one person thinks about their lifestyle after their performances, then the goal of this campaign can be considered achieved, because every person is a whole world." -0-
