LARGE PHOTO REPORT. Vitebsk welcomed the "Victory Train"

БОЛЬШОЙ ФОТОРЕПОРТАЖ. Витебск встретил "Поезд Победы"
In the northern capital of Belarus, the unique mobile museum "Victory Train" stopped for two days.

The project is an interactive exhibition dedicated to the feat of the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War.

The mobile museum includes 12 carriages, 10 of which are exhibition halls.

Each carriage is dedicated to a specific historical period, allowing visitors to gain a deeper understanding of the events of those years. Visual effects and sound accompaniment, as well as realistic decorations, create the atmosphere of the war years, immersing guests in the experiences of Soviet people – from confusion and fear to courage and joy.

In Vitebsk, the "Victory Train" can be visited on June 30 and July 1. The project will conclude in Minsk, where the exhibition will be available from July 2 to 5.

Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin noted the symbolic arrival of the "Victory Train" in Vitebsk, which practically coincided with the historical date of the city's liberation on June 26.

– This event is of particular significance, as it was after this date that the city's restoration work began. Therefore, the meeting of the "Victory Train" a few days after the holiday reminds us of our Great Victory and the importance of preserving historical memory, – emphasized Alexander Subbotin.

– Visiting the "Victory Train" evokes strong emotions. In the faces of the wax figures, we see all the pain and tragedy that our ancestors experienced. This reminds us of how important it is to preserve fragile peace in our time.

It is especially important for young people and our children to realize what war is, as this will serve as an antidote against the horrors of conflict for their entire lives. I believe that this project is a real find for working in this direction, - emphasized Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Vyacheslav Durnov.

– We continue our journey by rail. This year, no new expositions have been added, so the train composition remains the same as last year.

Visitors come both individually and with families, and interest in our project remains high. In Belarus, we recorded a record attendance in Mogilev: 2246 people visited us in one day. We spent two days there. People's emotions are diverse: some smile, some cry.

We create an atmosphere that you can immerse yourself in thanks to various multimedia solutions and an audio guide. Each visitor gets the opportunity for an individual tour, which accompanies them throughout their journey. This allows for a deeper understanding of history and experiencing one's emotions, possibly recalling something important from the past, - said Anastasia Babanova, administrator of the "Train of Victory".

Karina Voytekhovskaya, a student of Secondary School No. 17 in Vitebsk named after I. Bumagin, shared her impressions of her first visit to the "Train of Victory":

– This event left a deep mark on my heart. The train will leave, but the emotions from what I saw will remain for a long time. The exhibition conveys the entire tragedy of the war years. I was especially struck by the faces of people reflecting fear and horror. I admire the courage of those who fought for our peace.

The fragment dedicated to the Japanese military biolaboratory attracted special attention. It made a strong impression.

After visiting the "Train of Victory," I realized how important it is to appreciate what our ancestors did for us, to remember what they went through for our freedom.
