Anatoly Linevich, Assistant to the President of Belarus – Inspector for the Vitebsk Region, paid a working visit to the Braslav District.
And this time, about a dozen people signed up for an appointment with Anatoly Konstantinovich. Those who could not reach the district center called, while the absolute majority came to a personal reception to ask the Presidential Aide to help them solve existing problems. And they were very diverse – some, perhaps, required the intervention of a high-ranking representative, while others could and should have been resolved in a working manner by local authorities.
A family from Akhremovtsy, whose son, husband, and father of three children died in a road traffic accident, asked Anatoly Linevich to look into the investigation of this criminal case, which, in their opinion, is being conducted insufficiently competently. Or, for example, the problem of a Braslav resident who has been unable to obtain a decision on changing the boundary of his plot with neighbors for years. At one time, it was laid along the wall of his house, thereby depriving the owner of the opportunity to service the building.
There were also those at the reception who, contrary to current legislation, tried to obtain certain privileges for themselves. But every appeal was heard, and a decision was made or an explanation was given immediately. The Presidential Aide repeatedly emphasized that it is important for the authorities to listen to every person, to help solve their problem, or to give qualified advice on where to turn or how to act in each specific situation, to explain to the person the current legislation that governs our lives.
On the same day, Anatoly Linevich took part in the work of the commission for coordinating employment promotion activities. A group of residents of the district who lead an antisocial lifestyle and have not worked anywhere for years were invited to its meeting. Each of them had a conversation, and each was offered a place of employment.
The commission was also approached by several individuals who came with requests for assistance in finding employment, as well as those who wished to confirm their employment status. Incidentally, residents of the district who had previously been hesitant to provide the commission with information about their place of residence and work, and to confirm their self-employment, have become more active. This is due to the resolution of the Council of Ministers on full compensation for economically justified costs of heat and gas supply, which came into effect on May 1 of this year.
In general, the labor market situation in the district during the first quarter was characterized by a stable unemployment rate and a slight decrease in the number of registered unemployed, while the number of vacancies was significantly higher than last year.
Employment of people and improvement of their well-being are among the main requirements of the head of state, and in this regard, Braslav residents also have matters to attend to. In rural areas, for example, it is necessary to develop agricultural production and improve living and working conditions, as is being done by the agricultural production cooperative "Mayak Braslavsky".
At this farm, Anatoly Linevich inspected the recently reconstructed farms and noted the sensible approach to the matter.
