Viatcheslav Grishchenko heads the Braslav district
At an extraordinary session of the District Council of Deputies, the new head of the Braslav District Executive Committee was introduced by the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Nikolai Sherstnev.
Vyacheslav Viktorovich was born in 1972 in the city of Baran, Vitebsk region. He graduated from the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy with a degree in "Jurisprudence" and the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus with a degree in "Management of Internal Affairs Bodies". His entire professional career is associated with service in the police: Vyacheslav Grishchenko rose from a district inspector to the Deputy Head of the Public Security Police of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.
A significant part of Vyacheslav Viktorovich's service is connected with Braslav region: from 2011 to 2018, he headed the internal affairs department of our district executive committee. He was awarded medals "For Impeccable Service" (III, II, and I degrees), the medal "For Distinction in Protecting Public Order," and is a laureate of the honorary title "Person of the Year of Vitebsk Region-2020." He has proven himself to be an initiative, energetic, skilled, demanding, but fair leader, an honest and decent person. Colleagues emphasize his decisiveness and ability to make competent decisions quickly and thoughtfully.
Introducing the new head of the Braslav district to the session participants, the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Nikolai Sherstnev, noted that the burden of leadership today is heavy and very responsible. "There is a lot of work, and it is not easy. Yes, Braslav region has changed in recent years. Much has been done in the region in preparation for the regional festival-fair of rural workers "Dozhinki." But this is only the basis for further development," the head of the region pointed out. According to him, the district must increase its tourism potential to proudly bear the banner of leadership in this area. At the same time, one must not forget about the traditional sectors of the socio-economic complex – agriculture and industry, as they form the foundation of the regional economy and, consequently, the budget. "The foundation of everything is the land. With proper care, it will surely repay generously with its produce."

Vyacheslav Grishchenko, in turn, thanked those present for the high trust placed in him and promised to do everything possible for the benefit of Braslav region. "We have a lot of work ahead of us, and we must make every effort to make both the region itself and the lives of its residents better," the chairman of the district executive committee summarized, addressing the district's active members.
