BRSM organized the work of hotlines for the elderly
The Belarusian Republican Youth Union is organizing hotlines in all regions of the oblast to provide informational assistance to the elderly
- "Hotlines" will start operating today at 14:00 in each territorial committee of the BRYU for informational assistance to lonely elderly people aged 65 and over. Volunteers will provide phone numbers of territorial centers for social services, hygiene and epidemiology, and nearby healthcare facilities. If the line in a specific city is busy for a long time, all those in need of assistance can call the oblast "hotline," and our volunteers will promptly relay the information," said Vladimir Babichev, Second Secretary of the Vitebsk Regional Committee.
At the request of the elderly, the youth union activists will help them order essential goods online.
- Youth "hotlines" will operate daily from Monday to Saturday inclusive from 9:00 to 17:00.
- The oblast "hotline" number in Vitebsk
8 (0212) 66-20-87 will operate from Monday to Saturday from 9:00 to 18:00.
During the challenging epidemiological situation in the world, the BRYU is actively conducting informational and educational work with youth through social networks. Recently, the youth union launched the #thankyoumedics challenge on social networks as a sign of gratitude to the people who are on duty every day and thanks to whom the epidemiological situation in Belarus is under control.
