BRSM presented the project 'Flowers of Great Victory' in China

The BRSM Republican patriotic project "Flowers of the Great Victory" has been presented in China, Olesya Sazankova, coordinator of international youth cooperation of the BRSM Central Committee, told a BELTA correspondent.

"These days, a Belarusian youth delegation is taking part in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) youth camp in Qingdao. The national exposition was presented there, including the republican patriotic project "Flowers of the Great Victory" and its symbol – an apple blossom with a red-and-green ribbon. This large-scale social campaign, aimed at uniting Belarusians, has been implemented in the country since 2015 on the initiative of our union and has united hundreds of thousands of Belarusians of different ages and professions over the years. This year, "Flowers of the Great Victory" became an integral part of the multi-stage republican patriotic project of BRSM and BRPO "Belarus Remembers". A few weeks earlier, this project was presented in London as part of the Belarusian Art in UK programme," said Olesya Sazankova.

The Belarusian national exposition was visited by the Director of the China Youth Center for International Exchange, Ma Xinmin. "As a result of the communication, agreements were reached on strengthening international exchanges between our countries, including through IT communities," noted the BRSM representative.

The fourth SCO youth camp opened on April 26. Since 2016 and for a five-year perspective, the All-China Youth Federation annually invites 200 youth representatives from SCO countries to develop friendly relations, promote international exchanges and cooperation between youth organisations of the Eurasian region. Among the invited countries are SCO member states: India, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and observer countries: Afghanistan, Belarus, Iran, Mongolia.

The theme of this year's camp is "New Chance. New Future."

The camp program includes an introduction to innovative projects of the SCO Youth Council member states. Within its framework, negotiations on cooperation with educational institutions, entrepreneurship support centers, young entrepreneurs are planned, as well as a meeting of the SCO Youth Council, the international forum of youth entrepreneurship "Towards the Dream along the Great Silk Road," a presentation of business incubators, a seminar-presentation, and training sessions. Simultaneously, participants will have the opportunity to discuss current projects and work out new promising areas of cooperation within the framework of a business dialogue with SCO youth partners. In 2011, BRSM and the All-China Youth Federation concluded a cooperation agreement. The priorities for the development of interaction are defined as: expanding friendly ties, information exchange in the sphere of youth policy and work with youth in China and Belarus, exchange of delegations, implementation of patriotic projects, local youth projects, development of the volunteer movement, and youth entrepreneurship.
