BRSM invites youth to take part in the patriotic competition "We Remember"

On the eve of the 76th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, the BRSM announces the start of the republican patriotic competition "We Remember," reported Natalia Stolpinskaya, official representative of the Central Committee of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union.

"We invite young people to take part in a new creative project in four nominations: 'Vocal,' 'Artistic Word,' 'Modern Authors,' 'TikTok Trends.' The project is aimed primarily at involving the younger generation in studying the history of the Great Patriotic War through culture and art, as well as supporting young talented authors and performers. Each of the nominations involves participants creating video clips on military-patriotic and heroic themes: about the Great Patriotic War, peace, our country," said Natalia Stolpinskaya. "For example, in the 'Vocal' nomination, participants are invited to prepare video clips performing compositions that match the declared theme. This can be solo or group singing. In the 'Artistic Word' nomination, we expect video content with poems or excerpts from literary works. In the 'Modern Authors' nomination, original works should be presented – musical compositions, poems, prose."

The competition will be held from May 5 to June 15 in two stages: a qualifying round and online voting. Applications from participants are accepted until June 8. The first qualifying round will take place from June 9 to 11. The organizing committee will select the top 10 works in each nomination.

"From June 11 to 15, an online voting will take place in the central official public pages of BRSM, during which internet users will determine the winners. In the 'TikTok Trends' nomination, the winner will be announced in the first round. To participate in it, it is necessary to submit a video clip to the organizing committee, published from May 5 to June 8 on the TikTok service (with the hashtags #wemember, #BelarusRemembers, #Belarus), popularizing the feat of the Belarusian people in the Great Patriotic War," added the representative of the BRSM Central Committee.

The creative competition "We Remember" will be an integral part of the BRSM's multi-stage republican project "Flowers of the Great Victory". In this regard, an important condition is the presence of the project's symbol among the competition participants – a red-green ribbon with an apple blossom. The winners of the competition will be invited to participate in the large-scale republican patriotic event on June 22.
