Brylo: I see development prospects for the Vitebsk region in all directions

Assistant to the President - Inspector for the Vitebsk Region Igor Brylo, who was introduced today in Vitebsk to the heads of the regional and district levels, said that he knows the northern region quite well and sees the development prospects that the region has.

"The functions of the Assistant to the President of Belarus are quite extensive. First of all, it is the execution of the President's instructions. There is a set of documents and instructions that are communicated to enterprises, executors, and the main thing is to control their implementation," he noted.

During his years of work in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, Igor Brylo traveled to all regions of the country, but, according to him, Vitebsk region has always held a special place in his heart, partly because he studied at the Vitebsk Veterinary Academy. He is familiar with the problems of agriculture. "There is potential here, the capacities of meat and dairy enterprises are not fully utilized, unlike in other regions, so we need to increase production in meat, grain, and in all areas to get a return from what we produce ourselves," Igor Brylo emphasized.

He also noted that he is familiar with the northern region, he communicated with many heads of agricultural enterprises while he was still the Minister of Agriculture and Food. As a person who has worked his entire life in the agro-industrial complex, he knows better than anyone where to find growth points for the agricultural sector.

The new Assistant to the President is accustomed to working with a tight schedule from his previous position. "In this mode, you are constantly on the front line, so I am used to living in a strict rhythm, being demanding of myself and my staff. I will try to fill the vacuum that arises from the shortage of agricultural topics in other areas. I will try to get up to speed with all events in a short period of time," Igor Brylo shared.

Regarding cooperation with the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin, the President's Aide noted that by the will of fate, they have been working side by side in various positions for over 10 years, so the main thing is to preserve the tandem in which the leaders previously worked.
