The Krasnaya Zvezda paper mill is investing around 7 million euros in modernization
April 9, Minsk / Tatyana Chumakova - BELTA /. OJSC "Paper Mill "Krasnaya Zvezda" (Chashniki, Vitebsk region) will invest about 7 million euros in the modernization of its paper machine. This was reported to BELTA correspondent by Dmitry Lizura, Deputy Chairman of the concern "Bellesbumprom".
The modernized machine will be commissioned in early 2011. A tender for the supply of components has already been held, and it was won by one of the Czech firms. Thanks to the modernization, the equipment capacity will increase by almost 3 times and will amount to 80 tons of paper per day. As a result, production will increase by approximately half, and quality will improve. The enterprise will fully meet its needs, and part of the products will be sent to the Spartak paper mill, the deputy chairman said.
The modernization of the machine will provide the technical capability to produce new types of paper. A larger part of the products will be sold on the domestic market. "This is due to the fact that it is better to sell goods with higher added value abroad, for example, paper bags," noted Dmitry Lizura.
OJSC "Paper Mill "Krasnaya Zvezda" specializes in the production of paper, cardboard and corrugated cardboard, packaging containers, and water-dispersion paints for exterior and interior work. The factory was transformed into an OJSC in 1996. It is part of the "Bellesbumprom" concern. It has a STB ISO 9001-2001 certificate of conformity.
