Former estate in Beshenkovichi district sold at auction, another 100 properties offered for sale in December
At the auction, a private organization from Minsk purchased the former estate for three base rates.
According to the sale conditions, the buyer must carry out repair and restoration work within a period not exceeding 4 years.
The Medvedsky estate has become the fourth object with the status of historical and cultural value sold by the committee at auctions this year.
Among the most interesting objects offered for sale in December is the Grebnitsky estate, located in the agro-town of Orekhovno, Ushachi District, 5 km from Ushachi, on the shore of a picturesque lake.
The Grebnitsky family moved here in the late 18th century and became the true masters of the place – they laid out a park, built a stone manor house, and a Uniate church.
In addition to the manor house, a blacksmith shop and a stud farm were built, their own brewery operated here, and a modern steam mill. The Grebnitskys also launched linen production at a factory; their products were distinguished by high quality and amazing durability.
In 1917, the Grebnitskys left Orekhovno. Subsequently, a hospital was located here, and later it was a school. In recent years, the school was moved to a new building, and the old estate began to deteriorate.
In 2020, the estate was already sold – at an auction for a base rate, it was purchased by a private agricultural enterprise from the Minsk region.
The plans included recreating the former interiors of the building, collecting artifacts for a museum, and setting up a cafe for visitors to the complex.
However, by
Unfortunately, the enterprise failed to implement its plans, and in 2024, the estate returned to state ownership.Currently, the former Grebnitsky estate is again being offered for sale by the committee at auction for only 40 rubles (one base unit) in the hope that a new owner will be found who is capable of restoring the estate.
