The former universal base store in Vitebsk was sold at auction for a price 11 times higher than the initial bid

A former store of the Vitebsk Universal Base on the outskirts of Vitebsk was sold on February 14 at an auction for 570 thousand rubles, which is 11 times the initial price of the real estate. The bidding was intense, and the organizers had to postpone the end of the auction by almost 1.5 hours.

The building with a total area of almost 300 sq. m was put up for auction with an initial price of about 51 thousand rubles. The winner was determined at the 25th step, and judging by the bidding history, the outcome was unexpected.

3 bidders showed interest in the real estate. One of them demonstrated serious intentions, raising the price five times by half a thousand rubles, while competitors limited themselves to penny bids. After the 14th step, the excitement subsided. And then the most active participant reappeared, increasing the bid by half a million rubles. But even this was not enough to win. After 9 seconds, his opponent added just a penny. No one else tried to outbid the last one.

As reported by the main department of justice of the regional executive committee, the building at Leningradskaya Street, 168 has not been in use for a long time, is under arrest, and the money raised from its sale will be used to pay off the debts of the universal base to creditors.

The auction was organized by RUE "Belyurobespechenie". Auctions for the sale of stores in Tolochin and Novopolotsk will be held on this electronic platform in the near future.
