The former health resort 'Berezka' in the Dokshitsy district has been bought by a farming enterprise
As reported by the "Vitebskoblimushchestvo" fund, the unused buildings and structures of the former "Berezka" camp were put up for repeated auction with a starting price of 19 basic units. Since only one participant showed interest in the lot, the auction was declared void, and the sole bidder agreed to purchase the real estate at the starting price increased by 5% (about 460 rubles). The lot included 16 structures with a total area of over 2 thousand sq. m with engineering communications, as well as a 50-year lease for a land plot of over 9 hectares for property maintenance.
According to Irina Bruy, a representative of the farming enterprise, the unused buildings and structures are planned to be used for expanding production activities. "Vasilek" is developing as a diversified enterprise: it is involved in fish farming, meat production, feed production, horseradish cultivation, provides transportation services, and is building a tourist complex with organized fishing. The enterprise has two branded stores, including one in the Dokshitsky district.
Two more health resorts in the Vitebsk region – "Vostok" and "Chaika" – will still retain their specialization, and options for resolving this issue are currently being worked out. The possibility of transferring "Vostok" from republican to regional communal ownership is being considered, and for "Chaika" – an option of direct sale to an investor with the condition of conducting a health campaign for children during the summer months.
