BCh will allocate about Br35 billion for the reconstruction of the Vitebsk railway station.
December 3, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. Belarusian Railway (BZD) will allocate about Br35 billion for the reconstruction of the Vitebsk railway station. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by Valery Shubaderov, chief engineer of BZD. He is participating today in the work of the station reconstruction headquarters.
In any project, financing is a key issue. "Significant funds are certainly needed for the Vitebsk railway station, but we will solve this issue so that by July 1, 2010, the city will have an international-level station," noted Valery Shubaderov.
Currently, this is one of BZD's largest projects in terms of passenger facilities. "This facility is important for us, primarily because it is an image-building one. After all, it is this station that numerous guests of the 'Slavianski Bazaar' arrive at - a festival that has become a hallmark of Belarus," the specialist added. -0-
