RZD has simplified the process of selling tickets through self-service terminals in Minsk and Vitebsk

Belarusian Railway has simplified the process of selling travel documents through self-service terminals at the stations in Minsk and Vitebsk. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of Belarusian Railway.

Belarusian Railway has installed a new version of the software with an optimized ticket issuance process on all payment and information self-service terminals. Previously, the new version was tested on the terminals of Minsk-Passazhirsky station. Its main difference from the previous one is a significant reduction in the number of steps required to purchase a ticket through the terminal. The screen interface has been updated, the baggage issuance function has been moved to a separate button on the main screen, and the ability to select stations by destination has been added.

This project was implemented by Belarusian Railway in cooperation with OJSC "ASB Belarusbank" with the aim of improving the quality of services provided to passengers and promoting cashless payments using bank payment cards.

The press service reminded that the service of selling travel documents through self-service terminals was first introduced in January 2012. Currently, such devices are operational at two stations of Belarusian Railway: Minsk-Passazhirsky and Vitebsk.

Tickets for city lines and economy class regional lines trains can be purchased through the terminals. The service is available to holders of payment cards from all banks in Belarus. No commission fee is charged when purchasing tickets through the terminals.

Belarusian Railway plans to further expand the system of selling travel documents through self-service terminals using bank payment cards.
