The grain growers were congratulated on this event by the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Nikolai Sherstnev. The gross grain and leguminous crop yield in the farm amounted to over 3,340 tons with a yield of 39.5 centners per hectare. The head of the region noted that in the difficult conditions of the current season, the enterprise's team showed its inherent organization and cohesion and was one of the first in the region to complete the harvest. Special words of gratitude go to the machine operators who had to work on waterlogged soil. Nikolai Sherstnev wished everyone happiness, peace, tranquility, and confidence in the future. The chief engineer of the Vitebsk Torg management, Igor Mikhalko, was awarded an Honorary Diploma of the Regional Executive Committee, and a letter of thanks was announced to driver Alexander Morozov.

The Chairman of the Vitebsk District Executive Committee, Gennady Sabinich, wished the team, which was the first in the region to complete the harvest, to surpass OAO Rudakovo and SPK Ol'govskoye in yield in the future.

Diplomas and cash prizes for the harvest leaders were presented by the General Director of Vitebskoblgaz, Petr Shershen. The first places in the competition were taken by the combine crew consisting of Sergey Melderes and Yuri Ermak, the best driver for grain transportation is Pavel Makhan'kov, and the operator of the grain drying complex is Valery Primak.

In a conversation with journalists, the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Nikolai Sherstnev, emphasized that he has never remembered such a harvest in his entire life.

Practically from the beginning of the harvest, there was not a single favorable day in the Vitebsk region; precipitation occurred in one part of the region or another. As of August 18, only about 60% of the grain crops had been harvested, with individual districts barely exceeding 40%. Therefore, equipment will be transferred without fail, regardless of

distances. This year’s harvest is very difficult, but it is good. It is gratifying that in such a rainy summer, our fields are clean. This is the work of farmers, the result of technology implementation. It is a pity that there are losses, but in the current conditions, they are unavoidable.

Nikolai Nikolaevich noted that even if the weather remains the same and the current yield is maintained, the gross harvest will be around 1 million 100 thousand tons of grain, and we need 850 thousand tons to fully provide the livestock industry with feed.
