«Earth Hour - 2025»

Earth Hour is an international event during which the World Wildlife Fund calls for turning off lights and household appliances for one hour as a sign of concern for the future of the planet. At the same time, the illumination of the world's most famous buildings and monuments is turned off.

This year, the event will be held in Belarus on March 29 for the 17th time.

The purpose of the event is not to save electricity. This event is a symbol of caring for nature.

Turning off the lights for one hour helps reduce harmful emissions into the Earth's atmosphere and gives every concerned person the opportunity to contribute to energy saving and preserving our planet's climate.

Turning off the lights for an hour is very simple, but even such a symbolic action holds the potential to help the planet by changing your daily habits.

Traditionally, enterprises, institutions, and organizations in Vitebsk and the Vitebsk region join "Earth Hour" – for one hour, they turn off the illumination of administrative buildings, decorative lighting of advertisements, outdoor lighting, warehouse and utility rooms of educational, healthcare, and cultural institutions, as well as trade and industrial enterprises.

In support of the ongoing event, educational and cultural institutions organize contests of thematic drawings and posters, informational lectures, and book and illustration exhibitions.

We invite everyone who wishes to participate in this event!
