Chashniki Food Products Plant will change its form of ownership
"The proposal for a joint project to transform the state enterprise into a joint-stock company was submitted by the enterprise's partner - CJSC "Minsk Winery".
The change in ownership will allow for attracting direct investment for subsequent modernization of the enterprise, acquiring new technological lines and equipment, and increasing production volumes, which in turn will make it possible to raise employees' wages," the State Property Committee emphasized.
The press service reported that a meeting of the labor collective took place on August 28, 2016, attended by employees of UPPC "Chashniki Food Products Plant". Representatives of the management and specialists of the district executive committee, the "Vitebskoblимущество" fund, and the management of CJSC "Minsk Winery" also participated in the meeting. "The General Director of Minsk Winery, Ivan Trotskiy, presented a plan for joint work on the transformation of the Chashniki Food Products Plant and the timeline for its implementation. The enterprise's corporatization project was adopted by the employees and specialists of the food products plant by unanimous vote," the State Property Committee noted.
The plant in Chashniki was first mentioned in 1872 as a brewery. Later, it was converted into a distillery. This specialization is maintained to this day.
