What else can severe frosts entail?

First and foremost, frostbite, and you can suffer from it in a matter of minutes. As experience shows, people most often and quickly freeze their feet, hands, and face, and in most cases, this happens unnoticed. Therefore, if the earlobes, tip of the nose, chin, or cheeks of people around you suddenly turn white, it is important to inform them about it immediately.

If you yourself have become a "victim" of hypothermia, remember that to avoid freezing, you need to move. If you feel your hands going numb, rub them against each other, and when blood circulation is restored, tuck them under your armpits. Don't forget to remove rings and watches – this will improve blood circulation. In case of frostbite of the nose, cheeks, or ears, you can perform 10-15 deep bends to stimulate blood flow to the face. It is useful to drink hot sweet tea or coffee, eat a few glucose tablets, or a few pieces of sugar.

Under the snow cover, a treacherous danger may lurk – icy conditions. To avoid becoming a patient at the emergency room, you need to step on the ground with your entire sole, do not rush, and slightly relax your knees. Your hands should not be occupied with heavy bags. Special caution should be exercised on the roadway.

At the moment of falling, it is necessary to: crouch, group yourself, tense your muscles, and roll over upon touching the ground.

After falling, do not rush to get up; first, examine yourself for injuries, and ask passers-by for help. If you sustain an injury, be sure to contact a medical facility at your place of residence, where you will receive qualified medical assistance.

And finally, do not remain indifferent to the misfortune of others – if you see someone who has fallen, offer a hand; if you see someone lying on the street, call an ambulance; if you notice a neighbor in their house violating the rules of stove heating operation (lack of a hearth mat, a cabinet placed too close to the stove, an open door, etc.) – warn them of the danger. If you see a child wandering alone on the street in severe frost – ask if they need your help.

REMEMBER! It is certainly difficult to save the whole world, but it is quite possible and vitally necessary to help yourself and those around you.
