A district championship in crayfish sport fishing will be held in the Polotsk district, the Polotsk District Executive Committee informed a BELTA correspondent. On Lake Beloye near the village of Azino, amateur anglers will gather on July 22. For an hour, they will have to catch crayfish with their hands. According to preliminary data, about 40 teams, each with two participants, are expected to take part in the competition. As noted in the district executive committee, Lake Beloye is a favorite recreation spot for residents of Polotsk and Novopolotsk, so the organizers hope that vacationers will join the registered participants. Prizes await the winners, and all participants of the fishing will receive special badges with the championship logo. Catching crayfish by hand is one of the simplest, fastest, most effective, and fun ways, professionals assure.
