The shooting championship will bring together border guards from all over Belarus in the Polotsk region

The shooting competition of the Belarusian border guard agencies with service weapons opens today in the Polotsk district, as reported to a BELTA correspondent by Denis Glebko, assistant head of the Polotsk Border Guard Detachment for media relations.

Fourteen teams representing all units of the republic's border guard agencies will take part in the competition, which will be held at the military firing range of the Polotsk Border Guard Detachment in the village of Farinovo. The competition includes exercises for men and women in shooting from a Makarov pistol and a Kalashnikov assault rifle from various positions. The jury will assess the accuracy demonstrated by the participants in completing the tasks, both in a calm mode and under time constraints.

The summing up of results and the awarding of winners will take place on May 17 on the parade ground of the military unit. In addition, the two-day program of the event includes a tour of the museums of Polotsk and a creative concert.
