The blueberry beauty will be chosen at the festival in Polotsk

The "Polotsk Blueberry-2017" Ecofest will be held on July 22, the press service of the Polotsk District Executive Committee reported.

The program includes both traditional events and novelties. Continuing the annual festival, about 100 teams will head to the forest early on Saturday morning. Berry enthusiasts will need to fill their baskets with blueberries and prepare original selfie presentations. A distinctive feature of the holiday will be the "Miss Polotsk Blueberry" contest, which will take place on Freedom Square. Competing for the coveted title, contestants aged 5 to 13 will have to demonstrate vocal talents, show off their erudition, and impress the jury with bright costumes made from improvised materials. The main condition is that everything must correspond to the blueberry theme.

Numerous themed areas will be located on Francysk Skaryna Avenue: "Blueberry Kindergarten", "Blueberry Face Painting", "Street Musicians", "Bountiful", "Blueberry Open Air", and others. A dance battle is also planned, for which participants have a denim dress code (in blueberry color). The results of the exciting competition will be announced in the evening at the youth denim party, which will be part of the republican campaign "Polotsk - Youth Capital of Belarus 2017!".
