Чествование лучших работников, открытие новых объектов и площадок: Чашники торжественно отпраздновали свое 515-летие
Honoring the best workers, opening new facilities and sites, military-patriotic events, laying a symbolic capsule with soil from mass graves, performance by creative groups – this is how Chashniki celebrated the 515th anniversary of the city on a grand scale.

A festive event dedicated to the City Day celebration was held in the renovated city House of Culture, where, by tradition, the best workers in various fields were honored. The Chairman of the District Executive Committee, Leonid Pleshko, congratulating the attendees on the 515th anniversary of the district center, noted that the city and the district are dynamically developing only if every resident works conscientiously, and personal successes determine the overall result. Chashniki district has good socio-economic development indicators; in terms of average wages, the district is among the leaders in the region.

The head of the Vitebsk region's deputy corps performed a pleasant mission – he presented Letters of Gratitude from the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee to Vladimir Veigant, Director of OOO "Chashniki Prodmarket," and Alexander Svilovich, Head of the Krasnaya Zvezda Paper Mill, and Maria Berdnik, Director of the Chashniki District Branch of Belgosstrakh.

The 75th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders and the upcoming 75th anniversary of the Great Victory are dates paid for at a high price. As part of the International Memory Action "In Glory of the Common Victory!" in Chashniki, a symbolic capsule with soil taken from the mass graves of the district was sealed and handed over for temporary storage to the historical museum.

This responsible mission was carried out by Lev Plyut, a participant in the Great Patriotic War, Igor Polubinsky, the district military commissar, and Vladimir Koleda, the dean of the churches of the Chashniki district. The attendees honored the memory of the heroes with a minute of silence.

A ceremonial opening of a shooting range took place at the Chashniki Gymnasium on the eve of City Day, as part of a series of significant events. The Deputy Chairperson of the District Executive Committee, Irina Syrovchenko, emphasized the importance of this facility for the younger generation, as sport is a significant component in the full development of a person.
