Чествование призеров международных соревнований по прыжкам на батуте прошло в Витебске (дополнено)

The trampoline center in Vitebsk is planned to open in the first quarter of 2019.

The first to appreciate the functionality of the original project, try out the modern sports equipment, and feel the comfort of the center's recovery infrastructure will be the participants of the republican tournament in memory of the honored coach of the Republic of Belarus Valery Vagel, which traditionally takes place at the beginning of the year.

This was announced by the Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies, Head of the Representative Office of the National Olympic Committee in the Vitebsk Region, Vladimir Terentyev, during the recent honoring of coaches and leading Vitebsk athletes, who form the core of the national trampoline team, held at the regional executive committee. The pleasant occasion for the meeting was the achievements of our acrobats at the World Cup stages in Arosa, Switzerland, and Maebashi, Japan, where the athletes won five medals of various merits.

Now the athletes also have the highest parliamentary awards. Vladimir Terentyev presented certificates of honor of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus to the head coach of the national trampoline team Olga Vlasova and Olympic champion Vladislav Goncharov, who became the best at the World Cup in Switzerland. The Director of the Children and Youth Sports School No. 1 Svetlana Pashkovskaya, as well as members of the Belarusian national team Oleg Ryabtsev, Maria Makharinskaya, Anna Goncharova, and Ekaterina Ershova, were awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies.

To continue the medal traditions of the Vitebsk trampoline school, recognized as one of the world centers for the development of this sport, modern sports infrastructure is urgently needed. That is why the main topic of the working conversation held after the awards ceremony was the discussion of the progress of the construction of the sports complex on Pobedy Avenue.

– The work is in full swing. Although there were minor difficulties related to the complexity of the structures being erected, the builders coped, – noted Vladimir Terentyev. – The facility is scheduled to be commissioned in February-March of next year. Everyone understands perfectly well that the appearance of such a significant facility is an opportunity for the further development of trampoline sports in Vitebsk. Especially since a new promising generation is already growing up behind the athletes recognized worldwide. It will be very pleasant to hold the traditional tournament in memory of Valery Ignatievich Vagel in the new building. It is possible that the center will bear his name, this issue is currently under discussion.

It is assumed that the sports complex in Vitebsk will become the main base for the training of the national team of Belarus and the preparation of the team's immediate reserve. And the hall of SDYUSSHOR No. 1 at Secondary School No. 4 of the regional center will remain at the disposal of those who are taking their first steps in this sport, noted Svetlana Pashkovskaya.

– I visit the construction site constantly; right after returning from Japan, I came to assess the progress of the work. We have already been invited to choose the color of the foyer finishing and tiles for the exterior facades. Of course, we want to see the final result as soon as possible, – shared the director of the sports school.

The main event of the season for representatives of this sport will be the World Championship, which will be held in November in St. Petersburg. Therefore, the dynamic work of the builders on the construction of the sports center, which has every chance of becoming one of the city's flagship facilities, will create a good emotional background for the successful performance of Vitebsk athletes.
