Four concert venues will operate at "Dazhynki" in Shumilino
In the district center, the main work on various facilities, primarily socio-cultural ones, has already been completed. Secondary school No. 1 has received new repairs and equipment, the stadium in the urban-type settlement will be transformed, as well as the local sports and recreation complex and the House of Culture. Road and sidewalk improvement, landscaping of streets and courtyards are underway, and a square of military glory will appear. The local railway station, park, and recreation areas have acquired a new look.
"There will be four main concert venues at 'Dazhynki'. One of them will be located at the railway station - 155 years ago, train traffic was opened here. The second will be in the park, where an attempt was made to combine two zones - a patriotic one about the Great Patriotic War and a youth one. The third space will be near the renovated House of Culture, which will be solemnly opened on the day of the festival. A waltz will be danced there, a circus performance will be shown, and contests will be held. The main stage will be on the central square of Shumilino, we will try to create an interesting concert program for everyone," said Irina Shalakova, adding that all the details of the "Dazhynki" celebration are not being disclosed, and surprises await the residents and guests of the urban-type settlement.
The regional committee of BRSM will present entertainment at its three venues. Educational institutions will bring souvenir and agricultural products for exhibition and sale. A historical performance will be shown at the railway station in honor of the 155th anniversary of the opening of traffic on the Shumilino section. By preliminary agreement, Anna Sola, a native of the urban-type settlement and a prize-winner of the Biathlon World Championships, will come to the festival.
The regional festival-fair of rural workers "Dazhynki-2021" will be held in Shumilino on September 18. An extensive cultural program is planned, and the organizers want to make a memorable holiday for the residents of Shumilino and guests of the city. The capital of "Dazhynki" lies on the road between Vitebsk and Polotsk, whose residents will be able to spend their weekend at the festival.
