Four districts of the Vitebsk region were affected by the hurricane wind

Four districts of the Vitebsk region suffered from hurricane winds, Marina Fando, press secretary of the Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, told a BELTA correspondent. As a result of strong winds with gusts up to 20 meters per second from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the roofs of two livestock farms and one workshop building of KUSKhP "Osvyeysky" in the village of Senkovo were damaged in the Verkhnedvinsk district. In the Gluboksky district, the roof of the livestock farm of OJSC "Solovinoe" (Tolstiki village), the roofs of six residential buildings in the district center were damaged, and a fire broke out in a barn as a result of a lightning strike. In the Postavsky and Miorsky districts, trees were broken due to strong winds. According to Vitebskenergo, as of 6:00 AM, power supply to three power lines, 11 transformer substations, and three settlements was cut off in the Postavsky, Miorsky, and Gluboksky districts. 6 emergency crews (6 units of equipment, 20 people) were involved in the restoration. -0-
