Four districts of the Vitebsk region have completed the grain harvest

Vitebsk, Postavy, Sennno and Chashniki districts of the Vitebsk region have completed the grain harvest, the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Agriculture and Food Department informed a BELTA correspondent. Less than 3% remains to be harvested in the farms of Glubokoe, Gorodok, Dokshitsy, Lepel, Polotsk, Sharkovshchina and Shumilino districts. As of September 1, only Miory and Rossono districts have not reached the 90 percent mark. In general, as of September 1, more than 96% of the sown grain areas have been harvested with an average yield of 32.5 centners per hectare. The gross grain harvest amounted to more than 1 million 100 thousand tons. Orsha district maintains its leadership in threshed grain, having threshed 111 thousand tons of grain. The club of thousand-tonner combine operators in the Vitebsk region is replenished with new names. According to the latest data, it already includes 211 people. These are representatives from all regions of the oblast, except for the Rossono district. And SPC "Prudinki" of Verkhnedvinsk and KUSKhP "Kupalovsky" of Orsha districts are honoring their first three-thousand-tonner combine operators. The harvest campaign started in the Vitebsk region in early August. With favorable weather conditions, it is planned to complete it as soon as possible.
