Fourteen diplomas were won by Vitebsk students at a design competition in Moscow
November 13, Vitebsk / Sergey Kotovets - BELTA /. Students of the Vitebsk State Technological University won fourteen diplomas at the VI International Competition of Design Works "Perspective" in Moscow, Associate Professor of the Department of Design at the Vitebsk university Natalya Lisovskaya told a BELTA correspondent.
The future designers and fashion designers have ten silver and four bronze awards in the prestigious creative competition. This year, Vitebsk residents had to withstand tough competition - a total of over 1.5 thousand student works from 18 universities of the CIS countries took part in the competition.
28 students, including first-year students, represented the Vitebsk Technological University at the competition. The main part of the projects consisted of design works in the field of textile design for interiors, clothing, accessories, carpets, curtain fabrics, as well as works on clothing and advertising design for the fashion industry. Elena Krukovich made a double contribution to the Vitebsk residents' award collection, winning prizes in two nominations at once - the design of knitted fabrics for clothing and textiles for interiors.
The Vitebsk university constantly participates in this prestigious international competition, which is a kind of incubator of creative thought and a design innovation center. The format of the event provides an opportunity not only to open new perspectives for creativity, to present one's works to a wide audience of specialists in the fashion industry and retail, but also to implement design projects in practice, emphasized Natalya Lisovskaya. For example, 9 design works by 5th-year student of VSTU Marina Smal, who has repeatedly won the competition, have already been implemented in production at RUP "Baranovichi Cotton Production Association" and RUPTP "Orsha Linen Mill".
The international competition "Perspective" was held as part of the XXXIII Federal Wholesale Fair of Goods and Equipment for the Textile and Light Industry "Textillegprom" with the participation of specialists from 33 countries. The competition is organized by the Russian Union of Entrepreneurs of the Textile and Light Industry, CJSC "Textilexpo" and the Moscow State Textile University named after Andrei Kosygin. -0-
