Officials of the Vitebsk region will learn to make money today

An oblast seminar dedicated to the effectiveness of budget-funded institutions in providing paid services will be held in Vitebsk today, Ivan Shchurok, head of the education department of the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee, told a BELTA correspondent. About 150 people will take part in the event: heads of education, culture, healthcare, physical culture, sports and tourism departments from all districts. They will learn to develop paid services by studying the activities of various social institutions. For example, in the oblast center, participants will visit nursery-kindergarten No. 99, which successfully operates a short-stay group for children's adaptation to kindergarten, and learn about club activities in general education schools, vocational education institutions, and the "Zadvine" center of folk crafts. The organization of paid services at the oblast diagnostic center, the "Vitebsk" hockey club, and other cultural and sports institutions will also be studied. The seminar's work will be organized in groups. Participants will summarize the event's results at a joint meeting in the evening. The Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee is the organizer of the event. As the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee's economy committee informed a BELTA correspondent, in 2010, the growth of paid services in the oblast is expected to be 113-114% compared to last year, including 117.5-118.5% in culture, 119-120% in healthcare, 108-109.4% in education, and 120-125.5% in physical culture and sports. -0-
