The number of taxpayers under the simplified tax system in the Vitebsk region increased by a third in 2010

The number of taxpayers in the Vitebsk region using the simplified taxation system increased by almost a third in 2010, the press service of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties Inspectorate for the Vitebsk region informed a BELTA correspondent. According to data as of December 2010, almost 10.4 thousand business entities, including over 4.5 thousand legal entities, used the simplified system of tax reporting in the region. Of the total number of taxpayers under the simplified taxation system, about 60% are registered in Vitebsk, Novopolotsk, and Orsha. In 2010, this category of taxpayers paid over Br130 billion in taxes to the budget in the region, which in comparable terms is 28% more than the amount of payments in 2009. Of the total revenue, enterprises and organizations account for about 83% of payments. According to tax authorities' specialists, in 2010, one organization paying taxes using the simplified system accounted for an average of about Br23.7 million in tax payments, or about Br2 million per month, and an individual entrepreneur under the simplified system paid almost Br4 million, or about Br0.33 million per month. -0-
