The number of owners of two or more apartments in the Vitebsk region increased by almost 13% over the year
According to the results of the tax accounting of property tax payers conducted in 2019, 31 thousand individuals owning more than one apartment in apartment buildings and duplex houses were identified. This is 3.5 thousand more than according to the results of a similar analysis in 2018.
In total, more than 412 thousand individuals are registered with the tax authorities of the Vitebsk region, who have been assessed property tax and land payments, which is 6.3% more than in 2018. Of all property tax payers, about 47.6% are eligible for benefits.
The total amount of accrued property payments amounted to over Br22.3 million. In fact, Br11.2 million will be transferred to the budget. The remaining amount is attributed to individuals who have been granted benefits in accordance with the legislation.
The Ministry of Taxes and Duties Inspectorate for the Vitebsk region reminded that the deadline for paying property taxes is November 15. Land tax and property tax are paid based on a notification sent by the tax authority, which can be found in the "Taxpayer's Personal Account" or received by mail. Payment can be made through the ERIP payment system, bank, post office, rural (town) councils, as well as through internet banking.
