To nurture a unique star, a talented child and a skilled educator-producer are necessary - S. Statsenko

July 18, Vitebsk /Olga Bogacheva - BELTA/. To nurture a unique star, a talented child and a competent teacher-producer are needed. This opinion was expressed to a BELTA correspondent by Svetlana Statsenko, Honored Figure of Culture of Belarus and artistic director of the V. Mulyavin National Center for Musical Arts. "To nurture a unique star, you actually need a little - you need a competent teacher who would find a talented child and then work with him not only on vocal exercises, but closely: help select the right repertoire, produce," said Svetlana Statsenko. In her firm belief, radio and television should come to the rescue in the latter, because without them, the young talent will not achieve professional growth. "Understand, here's a good boy, he has a wonderful voice, musical material. And what next - who should he show it to, if there are no children's music programs on television, radio says it's not format, how to raise him, professionally move him forward. He will remain just a good boy," the teacher believes. She said that on a children's radio hit in Moscow, the compositions of some of her students have held top positions for several months. At the X International Children's Music Competition "Vitebsk-2012", the artistic director of the V. Mulyavin National Center for Musical Arts is representing her protégé Liza Muravyova. Assessing the level of the contestants as a whole, she noted that after the first competition day it became clear that the competition this year would be quite intense. "There are very professional children, there are average ones. Unfortunately, there are a couple of performances that, in my opinion, are not as well prepared as I would like, but overall the level of the competition itself is quite high. It's pleasing that the children have chosen interesting musical material for their performances, not just downloaded from the Internet. The vocal abilities of the participants are also quite good," said Svetlana Statsenko. At the same time, the adult competition, in her opinion, turned out to be somewhat weaker than last year. Taking the opportunity, Svetlana Statsenko expressed a few wishes: "The children's competition is a finished product that deserves to be broadcast. Many musicians who work with children, vocal coaches, asked me to convey that they are upset about this, because not everyone can come to the competition and sit for several days watching, while television is accessible to everyone. I hope that the broadcast will be resumed. I also really want the children's competition gala concert to be held in the Summer Amphitheater - the level of this event, the professionalism of the young contestants are worthy of it." -0-
