Construction of a football arena will begin this summer in Vitebsk

Construction of an indoor football arena at the base of FC Vitebsk Sports Club is planned to begin in 2-3 months. This was reported to a correspondent of vitbichi.by by the Chairman of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee, Viktor Nikolaikin, during a traditional meeting with the team before the start of the Belarusian Football Championship.

-- A week ago, the Vitebskgrazhdanproekt institute completed the development of design and estimate documentation and sent it for interdepartmental expertise, which will last about a month, -- Viktor Nikolaikin emphasized. -- Then we will hold a tender for installation work, and approximately in 2-3 months we will begin the construction of the indoor football arena. At the same time, the Football Federation of Belarus will provide the frame and the field, and we will carry out the connection of networks and the preparation of the foundation with our own funds.

The football arena is necessary for FC Vitebsk. Currently, the team is forced to conduct winter training camps in Turkey, and sometimes rents an arena in Grodno. In addition, youth teams of Vitebsk will also be able to train in the arena.
