"Dazhynki-2021" in Shumilino will be held on September 18
A meeting was held today to discuss organizational issues and inter-agency cooperation. According to Vladimir Terentyev, construction work on dozens of facilities in the capital of "Dazhynki-2021" has been completed by more than 80%. A large volume of work has been done in the district center, primarily in the socio-cultural sphere. Thanks to new equipment and renovation, Secondary School No. 1 will become one of the best in the Vitebsk region. The former Palace of Culture has been almost completely renovated, and the updated institution will be a magnificent platform for creative people. The gates of a beautiful stadium will soon open. Much has been done on the capital and current repair of apartment buildings, as well as the improvement of roads and sidewalks. The regional leadership sets the task of not stopping repair and improvement work after the holiday. In particular, a project for the reconstruction of the sports hall at Secondary School No. 2 has been commissioned.
Shumilino is a developing district center; this year, another 40-apartment building will be commissioned here, which will practically solve the problem of improving housing conditions for large families.
Chairman of the Shumiilino District Executive Committee Viktor Gutorov noted that there had been no capital investments in the district center over the past decade. Thanks to "Dazhynki," the appearance of the urban-type settlement is being transformed. Entrepreneurs have also made a significant contribution. The Shumiilino district was one of the first where consumer cooperation ceased to exist. Therefore, a serious issue arose with trade provision. Minsk and Vitebsk retail chains, and small businesses entered the district center. Work resumed in almost all premises, and by "Dazhynki," they were significantly renovated. By the way, the contribution of entrepreneurs to the district budget is 45%, which is higher than the regional average.
Vladimir Terentyev emphasized that the organizers are striving to do everything possible to ensure that the holiday is enjoyed by both the residents of Shumiilino and the leading agricultural workers, as well as the residents of Vitebsk and Polotsk. The capital of "Dazhynki-2021" has good transport links with these cities, so guests can spend their weekends with benefit and interest.
By the way, for the first time in 11 years of "Dazhynki" in the Vitebsk region, a new agricultural facility will be opened during the holiday – at the cattle fattening complex in SUP "Lovzhanskoye."
