Tastings, fairs, and discounts are offered by Vitebsk region's trade at polling stations on election day

Tastings, sales exhibitions, and discounts will be offered at trade and catering facilities at polling stations in the Vitebsk region on October 11. This was announced by Irina Levkovich, Head of the Trade and Services Department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.

More than 170 business entities are involved in organizing trade services at the polling stations, of which there are 848 in the region (53 of them are closed). A total of 1045 facilities will offer their services, including 348 catering facilities and 697 retail outlets. The operating hours of the outlets on election day will be from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

"At the polling stations, a wide range of food and non-food products, catering products will be sold with a minimum trade markup (catering markup), and sales exhibitions, clearance sales with discounts on goods and services, promotional events, and product tastings are planned," explained Irina Levkovich. In most district centers and rural areas, trade organization is handled by the Vitebsk Regional Union of Consumer Societies.

Cooperative members of the region have been entrusted with servicing 528 polling stations. 240 mobile buffets will be operating, and in other cases, festive trade will be organized by nearby stores. Voters will be able to choose from a widest range of culinary products, confectionery, and Belarusian cuisine dishes of their own production. Herbal teas with honey will also be offered. At large polling stations, tastings and sales exhibitions of cooperative industry and catering products will be organized, noted the Regional Union of Consumer Societies, adding that all products of their own production will be sold with a minimum trade markup.
