Delegations from 12 countries will gather at the international investment forum in Vitebsk

Delegations from 12 countries will gather in Vitebsk on July 15 for an international investment forum, the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Economy Committee informed a BELTA correspondent. Businessmen and representatives of diplomatic missions from Russia, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, and other countries will participate in the presentation of the region's investment potential and its manufacturers. Projects worth over $700 million will be presented to them. The business forum aims to attract investments in priority areas of the Vitebsk region's development and to familiarize domestic and foreign businessmen with the opportunities for organizing new production facilities in the region. Potential investors will be offered cooperation in mechanical engineering, automotive industry, construction industry, construction of roadside service facilities, development of hotel chains, and organization of logistics centers. Priority projects for the region's economy include the production of building materials from local raw materials, the development of the Vitebsk airport infrastructure, and the construction of recreation and tourism facilities. The upcoming business forum will be the second this year. The first one was held in March with the participation of business delegations from about 20 countries. Over 100 investment proposals were presented at it. About 40 cooperation agreements were signed during business meetings. -0-
