Delegations from eight countries took part in the "Cherry Festival" celebration in Glubokoye

Делегации восьми стран приняли участие в празднике \"Вишневый фестиваль\" в Глубоком
The festival in Glubokoye celebrated its 5th anniversary. The event has firmly established itself. This is evidenced by the "Cherry Festival" being granted international status. The warm, as it is held in July, and delicious, judging by its name, celebration in Glubokoye took place from July 18-22.

The festival has a majestic hostess - the Cherry Queen. It is she who, arriving in a carriage to the cherry monument, greets guests and participants of the celebration and officially kicks off the events. One of the brightest and most spectacular events is the solemn procession along the main street with charming drummers and flag bearers. The culture of Belarus, Russia, Armenia, the Republic of Korea, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and Estonia was represented at the international festival. The ensembles that arrived at the celebration have already managed to become friends, as they participated in an ethno-party where master classes in folk dances were organized.

The festival also has its own mascot - Vishnevik. This character, sitting on a balcony, closely watched everything that was happening. A decorative and artistic composition "Friendship of Peoples" was unveiled in the central square of Glubokoye. It was emphasized that the local authorities strive to develop the forum. "We want every festival to leave some memorable sign. And since the main goal of the celebration is to unite people, we decided to embody this idea in an art object," said Oleg Morkhat, Chairman of the Glubokoye District Executive Committee.

During the opening of the performance, doves were released into the sky. The "Cherry Cellar" homestead review contest, featuring all sorts of cherry delicacies, is organized by the event organizers. Guests are constantly amazed by the hosts' creativity and hospitality. A fair of folk crafts was also organized in Glubokoye. Potter Sergey Shcherba from the Postavy district presented glazed pottery, also known in Belarus as "rabaya" (a name that clearly reflects the visual characteristics of clay products). The craftsman is particularly proud of his whistles for children. The potter brought these musical instruments to the festival, and they harmoniously blended into the atmosphere of the "Cherry Festival." There was much to marvel at and even admire, both on stage and in other venues.

A contest for the cherry beauty queen could have been held at the festival. However, the jury would have had a difficult time, as the girls at this celebration were each more radiant than the last. This year's "Cherry Festival" turned out to be a warm, bright, and cheerful family event. The celebration was rich in encounters and emotions. We sincerely wish to take our hats off to the organizers and hope for new encounters with the cherry fairy tale in Glubokoye.
