A delegation from the Kapschagay district of Kazakhstan will visit the Verkhnedvinsk district to familiarize themselves with the agro-industrial complex sector
A delegation of management and representatives of agricultural producers from the Kapschagay district of Kazakhstan will visit the Verkhnedvinsk district on November 12, where they will take part in the celebration of the Day of Agricultural and Processing Industry Workers. This was reported by Elena Borzdyko, Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhnedvinsk District Executive Committee.
This is a return visit by Kazakh friends and colleagues following the signing of a cooperation agreement in trade, economic, cultural, and other spheres between the Verkhnedvinsk District Executive Committee and the administration of the city of Kapschagay. It took place during the celebration of the 45th anniversary of the founding of Kapschagay city in September. At that time, a delegation from the Verkhnedvinsk district visited this region of Kazakhstan for the first time.
The three-day visit was filled with meetings and negotiations with akimat employees, business circles, and heads of industrial enterprises. Kazakh partners were interested in the activities of Belarusian producers, particularly attracted by the products of OJSC "Invet" for zootechnical and veterinary purposes (cages, boxes, tags, etc.), the Verkhnedvinsk butter and cheese factory, and woodworking and agricultural enterprises.
"Already during our visit, a preliminary agreement was reached on reciprocal supplies of agricultural products from Kazakhstan and products from OJSC "Invet", and the participation of the Verkhnedvinsk butter and cheese factory and "Invet" in exhibitions and forums in the Kapschagay district. We discussed the possibilities of creating joint ventures, as well as benefits and preferences for the development of entrepreneurship in small Belarusian cities. During the return visit, we will show our guests the existing trade, economic, and investment potential of the region for cooperation and will connect specific agricultural enterprises with each other," explained Elena Borzdyko.
Cooperation with Kapshagay promises to be fruitful in other areas as well. For example, an agreement has already been reached on the exchange of creative groups at children's festivals. The memory of the Great Patriotic War also connects the peoples – 32 Kazakhs gave their lives for the Motherland on the Verkhnedvinsk land. These figures, announced at an event in Kapshagay, aroused particular interest among the local population, especially veterans. Therefore, contacts between veteran organizations are not excluded in the near future. The city of Kapshagay is a satellite city of Almaty.
It was founded in 1970 on the bank of the reservoir created on the Ili River in connection with the construction of the Kapshagay Hydroelectric Power Station.
