A delegation from the Vitebsk region took part in the Days of Pushkin Poetry and Russian Culture in Pushkinskiye Gory

Делегация Витебской области приняла участие в Днях пушкинской поэзии и русской культуры в Пушкинских горах
Delegation of Vitebsk Region Participated in the Days of Pushkin Poetry and Russian Culture in Pskov Region.

The large-scale festival was held outdoors in Mikhailovskoye and brought together poets, participants of the literary laboratory, creative groups, and simply admirers of the great Russian poet's work.

The invitation to the main literary event in the cultural life of Russia – the 225th anniversary of A. S. Pushkin's birth – became possible thanks to the close cooperation between the Belarusian and Russian regions.

 – Last year, the Days of Pskov Region were held in Vitebsk, which evoked a lively emotional response from the residents of the northern region of Belarus. Vitebsk and Pskov regions have close cultural, social, and economic ties. Our relations have long gone beyond business cooperation; they can safely be called warm and even friendly. Participation, and most importantly, getting acquainted with the internal "kitchen" of such significant and vibrant events as the Days of Pushkin Poetry and Russian Culture, is a unique experience and an opportunity to adopt certain features, as well as to resolve some issues regarding the organization of our joint events. We are actively preparing for the 65th International Meeting of Front-line Soldiers, Partisans, and Underground Fighters of Belarus and Russia at the Mound of Friendship and the Youth Belarusian-Russian Educational and Patriotic Camp "Kurgan-2024," – emphasized Marina Novitskaya, Head of the Main Department of Ideological Work and Youth Affairs of the Regional Executive Committee.

Vera Emelyanova, First Deputy Governor of Pskov Region, noted that over many years of its existence, this celebration has become a kind of experimental platform and master class for young poets, writers, musicians, and artists.

Indeed, the A. S. Pushkin State Museum-Reserve "Mikhailovskoye" organically blends classical high art with creative modern art finds by young authors and teams. The program included the musical and literary composition "Eugene Onegin" performed by Yuri Bashmet and the "New Russia" State Symphony Orchestra with the participation of Konstantin Khabensky and Olga Litvinova, the raft performance "Pushkin's Voyages" staged by "Golden Mask" award laureate Yuri Kvyatkovsky, the presentation of the animated series "Pushkin and... Mikhailovskoye" accompanied by the Pskov Region Governor's Symphony Orchestra, as well as children's immersive performances and quests, the Pushkin Procession-Parade, the promenade performance "The Gypsies" by the "Pukh i Prah" theater, the interactive performance "Lukomorye," and the exhibition "Emotions of Nature, Nature of Emotions. Pushkin's Literary Landscape," and performances by folklore groups and ensembles.
