The delegation of the Vitebsk region took part in the III congress of the republican public association "Belaya Rus"

The III Congress of the republican public association "Belaya Rus", based on the results of its work, determined the priority directions for the association's activities for the upcoming five-year period. The Congress of the RPO "Belaya Rus" recognized the work of the public association in 2012-2017 as satisfactory.

The main directions in the activities of "Belaya Rus" for the upcoming period have been decided to be ensuring public support for the policy of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, developing civil society, stimulating public and civic activity through interaction with state authorities on the basis of constructive cooperation.

The association will pay significant attention to consolidating society to solve the tasks of socio-economic, political and cultural development of the country, and to monitoring public opinion on the most important issues of societal development. "Belaya Rus" will also concentrate its efforts on the expertise of draft laws and public control, and on supporting national entrepreneurship.

In addition, active work will be carried out to identify activists who are most prepared in professional and ideological terms, and to promote them to leadership positions in various sectors of the national economy. Attention will also be paid to forming continuity in socio-political work with youth through strengthening cooperation and developing mechanisms for interaction with the Belarusian Republican Pioneer Organization and the Belarusian Republican Youth Union.

In "Belaya Rus", they consider it important to develop public diplomacy and form a favorable public opinion about

abroad. Strengthening the regional level, building up the political experience of the association's members is another of the organization's stated goals. Following the III Congress, new versions of the charter and program of the public association "Belaya Rus" were approved, and the republican council and the central control and audit commission of the public association were elected. The public association has about 171.6 thousand members, 8 thousand primary organizations. Founding meetings for the creation of the public association "Belaya Rus" in all regions and in Minsk were held in June 2007.

Within the framework of the Congress, the Republican Council of the public association unanimously decided to elect Gennady Davydko as the chairman of the republican public association "Belaya Rus".
